The Atlanta Braves faced the defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday night.
The Phillies eliminated the Braves in the NLDS last season.
But in a back-and-forth game, Atlanta prevailed, winning 8-5 over the Phils.
Leading the way was Austin Riley, who tallied two touchdowns, both of which were career highs that traveled at least 455 feet.
After the Braves’ win, MLB Network’s Lauren Gardner caught up with the Atlanta third baseman, who discussed his top game and what it took to lead the Braves to victory.
“Staying within myself, not trying to do too much and good things happened.”

Riley said the important thing for him to do in Thursday’s game is to try to find the place where he came out at the plate and what he can do.
He also emphasized the importance of staying within himself and not trying to do too much.
Riley faced right-hander Aaron Nola, who faced him more than anyone else in his career.
The Braves slugger now has four hits against Nola in his career.
Riley said it’s important to try to build on his last few games to keep his momentum going.
In the end, Riley had a big night, going 2-for-5 with three runs and two runs scored thanks to his longest home run off Nola.
Atlanta took the top spot in the National League with their winning streak, going 31-19 on the year.
