The New York Giants he made a huge investment to keep Daniel Jones in town for years to come.

The former Duke player wasn’t impressive in his early years, but he had some breakout time under Brian Daboll and showed some signs of promise.

The Giants then doubled the money by giving him the chance to win Darren Waller.

And so far, so much good for the former Las Vegas Raiders tight end, who recently praised his quarterback’s leadership and communication skills:

“He’s funny. You have been driven. “When you know that the guy that’s coming into this team is out here putting in all the work and then … that’s what I’ve learned about him,” Waller said.

Waller is looking for a fresh start in the Big Apple after a difficult last season under Josh McDaniels.

He’s struggled to stay on the field, but he’s proven to be one of the best players at his position when healthy, becoming an inspiration around the league after overcoming his addictions to get to where he is today.

The Giants are expected to rebound in the second year under Daboll, one of the most offensive minds in the game.

There will be a lot of pressure for Jones to deliver after receiving a big payday.

Some expect Jones to have similar development to Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills.

If that’s the case, then we can and should expect dangerous streaks from Waller on his new team, assuming he can stay healthy.

The Giants made the playoffs last season, but they were not the same as the other teams in their division, the Philadelphia Eagles.
