England’s Andy Sullivan is three shots back after the first day at the KLM Open
Jorge Campillo opened a three-shot lead at the KLM Open after posting an impressive 63 in Thursday’s first round.
The three-time DP World Tour winner carded 10 birdies and a lone bogey in the morning at Bernardus Golf to reach nine under.
Andy Sullivan was tied for second on six under alongside Joel Stalter and Pablo Larrazabal after the Englishman made two bogeys in his 66.
Home favorite Joost Luiten was in the top five under six with Englishmen Dale Whitnell and John Parry, Spain’s Alejandro del Rey and Adrian Otaegui, India’s Shubhankar Sharma and Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

Campillo said: “I’m still doing the same things. I’m hitting my irons very well, the driver is a little inconsistent but on this golf course, they allow you to play from the fairway as well.
“I did well [on Thursday]which I didn’t do in Belgium, so it was a good day.
Sullivan, who shot a bogey on the fourth ninth, revealed after the round that his only hole-in-one since he started working with Tom Ridley five years ago came back at Cromvoirt.
He said: “It was amazing because in the five years Tom and I have been working together, I’ve only shot once and that was here.
“I’ve increased my stats just to play here every week and Tom looks amazing!”
