Johnny Depp He didn’t leave London without paying tribute to his former friend and late guitarist, Jeff Beck …performing on the same stage he did a year ago, all in his honor.
Johnny arrived on Monday night at the Royal Albert Hall for a tribute concert to Beck, who died earlier this year. Depp was part of the show’s rock legends…plus Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Kirk Hammett, Joss Stone etc.
The rich concert comes after some great moments of Depp – he was just celebrated at the Cannes Film Festival for his movie, “Jeanne du Barry” …
He was in rock star mode, though, in London … rocking shades, a beret and a jacket with a picture of Beck in the background.
As we explained, Beck died He is 78 years old in January after suffering from bacterial meningitis.
This show is the first of 2 tribute concerts, announced by Beck’s wife Sandra Beck and Eric Clapton back in March.
And, JD’s performance was very important. Remember, Johnny is actually Jeff they did together at the same location in May last year.
You remember, they were going together to follow Johnny’s dirty work against Amber Heard. In fact, Johnny didn’t make the decision because he had a gig.
Beck and Depp were friends who worked together in the studio several times – they even photographed the cover of John Lennon‘s “Isolation,” and released a full album last year.
