summer is over, Khloe Kardashian welcomed her second child through surrogacy.
And as you know, she is not the first member of her family to take that route in response to fertility issues.
Kim Kardashian’s two younger children were both carried by friends, and it is safe to assume that Khloe consulted with her older sister before choosing the option herself.
But it seems Khloe didn’t have the skin and other issues she had, as well as her candid comments on the latest episode. The Kardashians received very mixed responses from fans.
“The process of giving birth, Kim knows, is difficult for me,” Khloe said in an interview with Scott Disick.
“It was really hard to take it all in,” Kim said.
“It’s a f–k mentality. It’s an amazing thing,” said Khloe.
“I think there is a difference when the baby is in your womb, the baby really feels your heart,” she added.
“No one in the world can feel like you’re from this earth.”
Khloe went on to reveal that she had nothing to do with the baby’s pregnancy and that she felt safe until she met her son.
The mother of two children said: “I really buried my head in the sand during the pregnancy because I couldn’t digest what was happening.
“So I think when I went to the hospital, I think that was the first time I signed up,” he continued.
“It has nothing to do with the baby but I was scared because of what I’ve been through.”
From there, Khloe revealed that the act of separating the baby from the woman who had just given birth left her with a lot of guilt.
“I felt very guilty that this woman just had a child so you take the child and go to another room,” he said.
“It’s a commercial situation because it doesn’t affect her,” Khloe continued.
“I wish someone would be honest about surrogacy and the difference. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just different.”
The comments caused a lot of controversy on social media, not least because Khloe seemed to imply that Kim wasn’t being honest with her about the surrogacy issue.
Both supporters and opponents of surrogacy tend to be outspoken about their beliefs, and Khloe’s comments put her squarely in the crossfire between the two groups.
Khloe has never shied away from controversy, but she has never taken on such a divisive issue.
Hopefully his years on the show have prepared him for this new fight.
Fortunately, no one is asking Khloe’s love for her son, Tatumbut many people accuse him of talking nonsense on a very sensitive issue.
The proud mum may find herself on the receiving end of some nasty comments in the coming weeks – but if anyone’s equipped to handle the heat, it’s Khloe.
