Manchester United will try to sign Harry Kane, Declan Rice and Mason Mount this summer.
United’s number 1 target is Tottenham striker Kane, who is Erik ten Hag’s most wanted player.
They are unlikely to sign all three players and it all depends on United coming in, Qatari investors and Sir Jim Ratcliffe of INEOS moving in.
Kane, Rice and Mount are what United boss Ten Hag wants in the club’s dressing room.
Like Sky Sports news he said earlier this week, United are not interested in PSG player Neymar, who has been offered to the Premier League club by intermediaries.
The Qatari bid for United, led by Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, has no plans for the summer. They are focused on trying to buy the team and invested four more at the beginning of this month.
If the team succeeds in their bid to take him, it does not mean that they will try to sign Neymar.
Man Utd leaders to sign Chelsea Mount
United have emerged as the top contenders to sign Mason Mount – should he leave Chelsea this summer.
Erik ten Hag’s club appear to be showing a strong interest in the England international, ahead of Liverpool.
He is also understood to have made several inquiries about his availability this season and has been encouraged by his struggles at Stamford Bridge.
Mount’s contract expires in 2024 and – while Chelsea want him to stay – there have been talks of a new deal during a difficult campaign for the club and players.
The player has to fit into the salary that Chelsea is trying to set, however, and the negotiations did not reach an agreement.
This has led Liverpool to show interest in Mount, who is represented by Neil Fewings of Wasserman, who – among others – represents Virgil Van Dijk and Jordan Henderson.
But Manchester United now believe they have moved ahead of their rivals, with Newcastle also keeping a close eye on the action along with Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino is expected to hold talks with Mount after being appointed Chelsea’s new manager, which could change the situation.
It remains to be seen whether Pochettino considers the midfielder important to his plans and could influence his decision if he returns to his boyhood club.
But if Mount sees his future elsewhere, Chelsea are ready to sell him but will demand £70m for the 24-year-old.
Arsenal have Rice and Mount on the shortlist
Arsenal are expected to make a bid for West Ham midfielder Rice at the end of the season, with Chelsea Mount and Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan among their midfield targets for the summer.
Internal discussions at the Emirates Stadium continue over the possibility of signing the England midfielder, who was the subject of interest from the Gunners in January.
Sky Sports news He added that Rice has a “compassionate agreement” to move in the summer – as long as West Ham receive £120m, either in transfer fees or transfer fees including players.
Rice has one year left on his contract at West Ham – with the option of a further year.
Arsenal are also monitoring the status of Moises Caicedo at Brighton. Arsenal had two bids rejected in January – the most recent of which was worth £70m.
Caicedo has signed a new contract at Brighton – but manager Roberto De Zerbi has agreed Sky Sports at the beginning of this month that the player can leave in the summer.
Arsenal’s interest in Rice and Caicedo in the summer window has yet to be announced – but the prospect of bringing in both players will depend on the cash available from a potential sale.
Arsenal are also monitoring a number of other midfielders, with Granit Xhaka expected to leave in the summer.
Gundogan is out of contract this summer – last month, he said talks with City were continuing. City manager Pep Guardiola has said he wants Gundogan to stay. Arteta worked alongside Gundogan when he was Guardiola’s assistant at City.
