Microsoft has added AI enhancements to its website builder offering, Power Pages.
Announced at its Microsoft Build conference, Copilot in Power Pages allows web developers to use AI capabilities in writing and creating layouts.
A new update to Microsoft’s Power Pages tool looks to speed up the time it takes website developers to create content, create detailed forms and chatbots, using smart ideas.
Building an AI website
Available for public preview now, though only in North America, Copilot in Power Pages aims to reduce website development time with features such as automated tables in Microsoft Dataverse to create similar forms.
Also available in public view, these changes include a table view and Power Automate integration in Power Pages that enable cloud flow from a web page.
Developers will be able to use these AI-powered enhancements in Power Pages to start their journey of thinking and building effective, secure external websites to better respond and serve their customers.
First unveiled at Build 2022, Power Pages also includes the integration of Copilot chatbot activation that includes automated responses within the workspace.
“You can also change, add, or improve fields using natural language. It’s an easy way to create,” Sangya Singh, Vice President of Power Pages, said in a post.
“For visitors to your site, this increases their engagement with your site, allowing them to ask natural language questions and receive concise answers with relevant links to improve performance and online experience.”
Microsoft is working to add additional AI capabilities including page design, page headers, and image generation, which are expected to be available in the summer of 2023.
