The Chicago White Sox they will be without their All-Star closer in right-hander Liam Hendriks this season.
The veteran right-hander was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in January.
Since then, Hendriks has made great progress and is now cancer free.
The White Sox have not had a record season thus far, starting with a 21-31 record.
Before long, the struggling White Sox could be on their way back.
On Friday, MLB insider Jon Morosi stopped by MLB Network to discuss the White Sox closer.
There, Morosi gave an update on the right hand and where things stand in his recovery.

With Hendriks now cancer-free, Morosi told Robert Flores that he predicts the All-Star and two-time American League MVP will be back soon.
Morosi revealed that Hendriks will work out at Comerica Park on Friday ahead of the White Sox tilting for the second time against the Detroit Tigers in their four-game weekend series.
BP’s life division will be closely watched, as Morosi said.
If all goes well, the next veteran could be unlocked in the coming days.
This would be a huge boost for the White Sox, who have not had a great start this season.
At 10 games under the .500 mark, some are already wondering if the South Siders can ride out the season and trade at the trade deadline.
But with so much of the season left, Hendriks’ return could help the White Sox turn things around and start winning some games.
