America First Legal wrote a lengthy Twitter thread Wednesday revealing the State Department Global Engagement Center (GEC). The GEC was spreading lies about the US government through the media.
The Global Engagement Center states its purpose as follows: “To direct, direct, coordinate, integrate, and coordinate the efforts of the US Federal Government to detect, understand, expose, and combat foreign and non-governmental disinformation and efforts to undermine or undermine the policy, security, or stability of the United States, its allies, and partner nations.”
The purpose of the GEC is to combat “attempts by foreign adversaries to undermine US interests through the use of lies and disinformation.”
America First Legal managed to combine the US government’s funding of the private sector to suppress domestic opposition voices that challenge the US government’s discourse.
/2 The GEC regularly coordinates with an international cartel of “independent” “fact-checkers” led by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies (which operates Politifact) and members of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN).

GEC funds the Poynter Institutes International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) and its international fact-checking members.
IFCN also received its initial funding from the Omidyar Network, Google, Facebook, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and George Soros’s Open Society.
IFCN was nominated for a Pulitzer for their work to suppress and suppress dissenting voices that were not sanctioned by government officials (Ex. Gateway Pundit, RFK Jr.’s Children’s Defense Fund).
/4 Members of this massive cartel range from independent foreign journalists to fact-checkers to American media organizations such as the Associated Press and USA Today.
Notably, Poynter’s IFCN received the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. pic.twitter.com/WMK43siNUN

The State Department’s GEC regularly works with the IFCN.

/14 The work of the international organization would be interesting if it followed its “commitment to justice,” but their methods seem too biased towards promoting government-approved communications. https://t.co/zCeAbumQ2y

Their work seems biased towards promoting government-approved news – no matter how wrong it is.
/16 Then, we also revealed that media outlets that were once respected for their hard-hitting investigative journalism are now mere mouthpieces for government journalists, and their journalists are interested in spreading disinformation on behalf of the GEC.

This is a very damaging report that reveals a lot of what The Gateway Pundit thought and what has already been said with a lot of history.
The government was – AND MAY BE – restricting speech in America today. Now they are revealed. It is time for justice.
