The 2022-23 NBA season is officially over Los Angeles Lakersand the Denver Nuggets getting the best of the purple and gold in the Western Conference Finals by pulling off a sweep.

With the offseason now underway for the Lakers, speculation and rumors have begun to circulate about the team’s intentions heading into the summer.

Along with the constant buzz surrounding the Lakers team, it has been revealed that point guard LeBron James has been out for months with a torn tendon in his foot, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic via Football and Life.

Shortly after the Nuggets eliminated the Lakers earlier this week, James made a comment about his future in the NBA, which immediately became ill.

James admitted that this summer, he will decide to end his playing career, which has lasted more than two decades.

Before Game 4 against the Nuggets, James’ best friend and former teammate Carmelo Anthony retired from the NBA earlier in the day.

The announcement of Anthony’s retirement may have helped James to consider leaving the game, although he has repeatedly said that he wants to play with his son Bronny James after he is in the NBA.

With Bronny James recently committed to USC, the NBA star’s son will stay there and play just one more year before making the jump to the top level if all goes well for the star in the making.

As for LeBron, it will be interesting to see if he is willing to retire and has abandoned his plans to play with his son, because this injury may play a role in his decision.
