The Denver Nuggets they have reached the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.

And while this may be a big win for a small market team, Mike Malone’s team hasn’t left everything on the field to make it happen so far.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Nuggets have an NBA championship on their own, and anything short of a ring would be a major disappointment in the organization.

Of course, the Miami Heat – who will be representing the Eastern Conference after going up 3-0 on the Boston Celtics – have also been successful in all games and should not be ignored, but the feeling around the league is that Larry. O’Brien’s race is Denver’s to lose.

The Miami Heat have the reputation of being one of the biggest 8 seeds in the history of the league.

Once again, the Nuggets were the best and most consistent leader in the Western Conference throughout the season, and have yet to clinch a Finals berth.

Nikola Jokic and Jimmy Butler have been 1A and 1B in the playoffs this year, and Erik Spoelstra and Mike Malone are two experienced coaches who have proven they can make big game tweaks and changes.

The tournament may not have its dream NBA Finals matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, but this could be a great and memorable matchup for basketball fans around the world.
