Claire chatted with Elena De Momi from the Polytechnic University of Milan all about surgical robotics, artificial intelligence, and the upcoming ICRA conference in London.
Elena De Momi received her MSc in Biomedical Engineering in 2002, PhD in Bioengineering in 2006, and is currently an Associate Professor in the Electronic Information and Bioengineering Department (DEIB) of the Politecnico di Milano. He is the co-founder of the Neuroengineering and Medical Robotic Laboratory, in 2008, overseeing the field of Medical Robotics. His academic interests include computer vision and image processing, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and simulation, teleoperation, haptics, medical robotics, human-robot communication.
