Gov. Ron DeSantis has decided that his way of distinguishing himself from Trump will be to go around the world to show that he is not old.
CNN said, “People familiar with DeSantis’ campaign plan, however, said the Florida governor will soon start campaigning in major states, in order to differentiate his strength from that of his former rivals, Trump and President Joe Biden.”
Nikki Haley has already been out on the campaign trail playing the age card at every turn. On Fox NewsHaley had this to say about Biden“He announced that he’s running again in 2024, and I think we can all say clearly that if you vote for Joe Biden, you’re counting on President Harris, because the idea that he. When I’m 86 years old I don’t think it’s possible.”
Ron DeSantis does not have a compelling vision of America. They have no interesting back story or anything to offer that is unique or special. DeSantis’ message comes from the fact that he is not Donald Trump, and he is not a big man.
Gov. DeSantis is widely viewed as the late-term presidential campaign of Gov. Former Wisconsin incumbent Scott Walker, another Republican who looked better on paper to Republican primary voters than his campaign did.
Bullies are not attacked by hidden messages as they are often used as a show of power. Bullies like Trump are plagued by controversy, and so far DeSantis has shown no ability to stand up to Trump.
