At the end of Sony’s PlayStation Showcase today, the company gave it to us first look from a distance Spider-Man 2, including a workout featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Most importantly, however, Parker is wearing a black Venom suit – for those unfamiliar with Spider-Man lore, the Venom suit gives Parker superhuman powers. But, it’s another kind of strangeness that can affect Peter’s good judgment. How he ends up with the suit remains a mystery, but I wager it will be a big part of the new game.
The show also featured a great sequence where the game played out seamlessly between Parker and Morales’ control. Most of the gameplay feels familiar, especially in the hand-to-hand combat areas, but the new suit offers tons of new features, while the wild chase through Queens gives a good idea of what to expect out there. bringing down the hordes of evil. We also got to see Miles’ new trick, as he now has a “wing” control that allows him to float for long distances. This trick was not part of the Spider-Man: Miles Morales game from 2020 when we got to control little Spidey.
It is also clear that the map of the game will be larger than ever – the first game covered most of Manhattan, but from this image we have also seen Queens, and a large part of the chase took place on the water, as well. First thing Spider-Man We’ve already put together a very satisfying and great version of New York City, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this one grows. We’ll have a chance this fall, though there’s no release date yet. Insomniac Games said they hope to share a final date “soon.”
